"Can Paris ever challenge the supremacy of London as a major financial centre in Europe and in the world? "

The Franco British Student Alliance is a charity which gathers students from French schools (Science Po Paris, Polytechnique, ESSEC and HEC) and from British schools (LSE, Oxford and Cambridge). Its aim is to strengthen and deepen the relationship between France and Britain. As a result, the Alliance is honoured to have the dual patronage of Her Majesty the Queen of England and of the President of the French Republic.

The FBSA is delighted to invite you to its next event which will be held at the House of Lords, on June 26, 2008 . The theme will be "Can Paris ever challenge the supremacy of London as a major financial centre in Europe and in the world?". The purpose of the Alumni meeting is to continue fostering a sense of community even after graduation between the FBSA members, in order to create a strong network of FBSA alumni across many professions and countries. This event is a great opportunity to gather together alumni, recent graduates and current students from our participating universities.

The Alumni Meeting will bring together high-ranking French and British politicians and executives to discuss the future of Paris and London as world-cities. The panel discussion will be chaired by Deputy Speaker for the House of Lords, Lord Grenfell. Tom Fletcher, Private Secretary for Foreign Affairs at Downing Steet, will also deliver a speech. The event will take place from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Following this conference, all participants are invited to the end of year FBSA celebrations at the Aura Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in London, just moments away from Buckingham Palace (www.the-aura.com)

Bonjour, Je voudrais savoir s'il faut etre membre de FBSA pour participer à la rencontre in House of Lords? et combien faut il prévoir de budget pour le voayge ? (la confrérence est elle gratuite pour les etudiants de l'Essec? Merci!
