The perfect city.
A place, almost a paradise, where everyone could be equal. Everyone would have the same chances, the same rights, the same liberty. A city where high executives and simple workers would live together in harmony, miles away from racial problems or questions of social classes, just men and women sharing the same dream for peace, tolerance and friendship. What a wonderful dream… And it could have worked. Truly. They just forgot a few details… the long-lasting prejugés, and man weaknesses… The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as we could say…
The story
USA, 1973.
Austin Swope, a well-known white industrial finally accomplishes his dream, and creates with Earl Wooten, a black construction entrepreneur, the perfect city, called Newton. But under the appearances, given out by small details, war is lying, waiting silently for an excuse to make a coming-out. Jealousy and a simple misunderstanding will quickly give birth to chaos, and the two families, who were before best friends and unified in one dream, will become fierce enemies, destroying their own hopes and future. Just because of love. Just because of pride.
